Medical electronic thermometer with progress indicator

Electronic thermometer for medical use, with a progress indicator (23) is provided. A control circuit (13) of the thermometer performs at least one temperature calculation as a function of a detected temperature and generates a temperature signal representative of the temperature of a subject based on the temperature calculation. Said temperature calculation comprises a temperature prediction algorithm. A progress indicator (23) visually indicates progress of the control circuit in performing the temperature calculation.
