The arrangement has a switching lever (1) e.g. gear selection switching lever, guided in a shifting gate (2), and pivotably supported relative to a switching lever-housing (4). An electromechanical actuator (5) moves the switching lever relative to the shifting gate, where the shifting gate comprises a resting contour. The shifting gate is supported within the switching lever-housing and rotatable or tiltable around an axis of rotation by the electromechanical actuator, where the actuator is formed by lifting magnets or by servomotors.
