<p>The invention concerns an array for long-term storage of seeds pre-planted in blocks, which can be transplanted manually, automatically or semi-automatically, wherein the seed (6) preferably has already germinated in said block. The array is defined by a porous body (1) capable of retaining water and of being traversed by the future roots. Said body (1) forms a cavity having at least one substrate and at least one seed. The substrate (2, 3, 4, 5, 7),the seed (6) and the body (1) have been previously dried thereby reducing the humidity thereof to 25 % or less. The blocks are disposed in the compartments (12) of a tray (10) enabling watering during a first plant germination phase. Said tray (10) is provided with means for temporarily retaining the blocks (15) and is sealingly closed by an envelope or a sheet (16). The content of the tray is preserved under predetermined hygrometric conditions preventing spontaneous germination of the stored seeds while preserving intact their ability to germinate over an extended period. <IMAGE></p> |
