According to the invention, the sensor data (S1, S2) that has been recorded after an impact is logically linked, with at least one first logical link (S1+S2) of the recorded sensor data (S1, S2) being checked to determine whether it satisfies a stability criterion, and at least one second logical link (S1-S2, |S1-S2|) of the recorded sensor data (S1, S2) being compared with a predetermined threshold value (SW2) on the basis of the satisfaction of the stability criterion, with a first criterion (K1) for an asymmetric impact flag signal (A1) being identified on the second logical link (S1-S2, |S1-S2|) of the recorded sensor data (S1, S2) overshoots and/or undershoots the predetermined threshold value (SW2). |
