PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a magnetic disk glass substrate capable of obtaining prescribed performance when manufacturing the magnetic disk glass substrate to manufacture a magnetic disk, capable of sufficiently narrowing the glide height of a magnetic head, suitable for a magnetoresistive effect magnetic head, capable of manufacturing the magnetic disk having a magnetic layer provided with satisfactory magnetic anisotropy, capable of manufacturing a high-quality magnetic disk glass substrate by a simple method and a simple work flow line, and inexpensive and suitable for mass production, and to provide a method of manufacturing the magnetic disk capable of manufacturing the magnetic disk having satisfactory characteristics. SOLUTION: A plurality of processes are executed in a plurality of mutually partitioned sections 1, 2, 3, ..., n. In at least one of the plurality of sections, an air flow is generated toward the section where the process that is prior to the process executed in the current section is executed.
