PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk device in which contact of a magnetic head slider and a magnetic disk in loading is prevented, decrement of a recording region is suppressed, while reduction of a surfacing property can be restrained. SOLUTION: This magnetic disk apparatus is provided with a magnetic head slider 1 having a magnetic transducer 10, a ramp 115 unloading the magnetic head slider 1, and an actuator 106 moving the magnetic head slider 1, the magnetic head slider 1 has a rail plane 14 generating positive pressure at a surfacing plane 2, step bearing plane 23, and a taper part 42 formed separating from the rail plane 14 and a step bearing plane 23 at a slider corner part 52 approaching most to a recording disk plane in loading.
