PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology for reducing exhaust heat in a cogeneration system. SOLUTION: A cogeneration system is equipped with a stirling engine having a substantially column shaped heating head, a burner opposed to an end surface of the heating head in the stirling engine, a first exhaust passage extending along a side surface of the heating head in the stirling engine, a second exhaust passage communicating with the first exhaust passage and extending along an anti-stirling engine side in the first exhaust passage, and a first heat exchanger positioned on the anti-stirling engine side in the second exhaust passage.
