PURPOSE: A skin external application having anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and skin protecting activities and containing Manuka oil as a main component is provided to effectively protect the skin. CONSTITUTION: The skin external application having anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and skin protecting activities contains Manuka oil extracted from Leptospermum scoparium(Manuka tree) and Leptospermum ericoides(Kanuka tree) as a main component, wherein the Manuka oil is prepared by collecting leaves and small branches of Leptospermum scoparium(Manuka tree) and Leptospermum ericoides(Kanuka tree), drying and cutting them, distilling the Leptospermum scoparium(Manuka tree) and Leptospermum ericoides(Kanuka tree) leaves and small branches with steam to obtain a mixed steam, cooling the mixed steam, separating the mixed liquid into an oil layer and a water layer, and filtering the oil layer.
