<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic instrument which is able to maintain a supplying of power from a power supply unit to a display system or a logic system while stopping the supplying of power to a power system at the time of an abnormality occurrence even for the electronic instrument equipped with the power supply unit to which two or more power circuits with different supplied powers are connected in series. <P>SOLUTION: A time is clocked by a counter 45, the output value of a comparator 47 becomes normal "0" during the time of the clocked time being a WDT setting of a register 46 or less. If the clocked time exceeds the WDT setting, the output value of the comparator 47 becomes abnormal "1". Whenever a RW signal for writing data in a B register 42 is input, the counter 45 is reset by a register 44. During the time of the output of the comparator 47 being normal "1", an enable signal is output from an OR circuit 48, If the output becomes abnormal "0", the enable signal is intercepted.
