<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of insuring a sampling period necessary for registration detection with a transfer clock frequency same as that during print operation. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has a first board for receiving information by a serial communication and a second board for transmitting information by the serial communication. The first board designates a number of transfer bit of the serial communication. The number of transfer bit of the serial communication transferred during print operation is different from that transferred prior to the print operation or during image adjusting operation conducted during print operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
