<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate input by a stylus pen. <P>SOLUTION: When the stylus pen is removed from a digital still camera, a paint tool is started to display a stylus input screen 51 for input by the stylus pen as shown in Fig. 5B. A user can put a desired color in an image displayed on a display screen 54 with the stylus pen by selecting an icon 52 on the stylus input screen 51 by the stylus pen, and can draw a line or the like on the image displayed on the display screen 54 with the stylus pen by selecting an icon 53. Further, an image editing tool can be started to display a stylus input screen 61 as shown in Fig. 5B.
