<p>The controllers (30,53) adopt a tension control based on the detection data by a manipulated brake detecting unit (20) while taking precedence over the tension control based on the detection data by an obstacle detecting unit (51). The manipulated brake detecting unit detects a manipulated amount of brake pedal of the vehicle. The obstacle detecting unit detects an obstacle in front of the vehicle. A first pretensioner (16) winds a webbing (11) to a retractor (12) by a first tension. A second pretensioner (17) applies a second tension to the webbing in an emergency about the vehicle to restrain a passenger. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a seatbelt for a vehicle.</p> |
