Preparation of big metacrylate monolithic plates offers a way of how to prepare a several-centimetre-big metacrylate monolithic plate bonded covalently to the substrate, from which it does not separate in various chemical reactions and which does not crack on drying. This very solution enables the use of big metacrylate monolithic plates for thin layer chromatography, two-dimensional electrophoresis, two-dimensional electrochromatography "spot" analysis and similar techniques. The preparation of big metacrylate monolithic plates is solved in such a way, that the metacrylate monolith is covalently bonded to the surface and that an appropriate radical initiator for a given polymerization mixture is selected when preparing a monomeric mixture to be used in the polymerization. This initiator namely exerts key influence on the stability of the big metacrylate monolithic plate.
|
