FIELD: apparatus for treatment of suspensions, filtration, micro-filtration, washing, extraction, sorption, ion exchange and catalytic reactions; chemical, food-processing, pharmaceutical and other industries. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed apparatus has cylindrical housing and branch pipes for delivery of suspensions, discharge of filtrate and thickened suspensions and for delivery of pulsations. Filtering partition is made in form of porous semi-permeable membrane dividing the housing into thickening chamber and filtrate chamber. Filtrate chamber is connected with pulsation chamber by means of pipe line. Suspension supply branch pipe, filtrate discharge branch pipe and thickened suspension discharge branch pipe are fitted with controllable valves. Apparatus is provided with sensors and control system. Method of operation of apparatus includes filtration and regeneration stages. At the filtration stage, valve fitted on thickened suspension discharge branch pipe is closed, while valves fitted on suspension supply branch pipe and on filtrate discharge branch pipe are open. At the regeneration stage, valve fitted on thickened suspension discharge branch pipe is open, while valves fitted on suspension supply and filtrate discharge branch pipes are closed. ^ EFFECT: enhanced reliability and efficiency of apparatus; reduced power requirements. ^ 3 cl, 2 dwg, 1 ex |
