PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device for easily managing the correspondence between a program and data, and for reducing the occurrence of such circumstances that a program is not associated with map data. SOLUTION: This navigation device equipped with a program for operating a navigation device and an information recording means for rewriting data to be processed by the program is provided with a data version deciding means (S103) for deciding whether or not the version of data corresponds to the plurality of versions of data compatible with the program and a program version deciding means (S103) for deciding whether or not the version of the program corresponds to the plurality of versions of the program compatible with the data.
