PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of enhancing the cornering power without sacrificing the ride quality performance. SOLUTION: In a section of the tire width direction, areas of a quarter of both outer sides of the tread width are defined as shoulder areas SH1, SH2, and an area held by the shoulder areas SH1, SH2 is defined as a tread center area TC. The mean thickness ts of an internal rubber in at least one area out of the shoulder areas SH1, SH2 is set to be larger than the mean thickness tc of an internal rubber in the tread center area TC.
