PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide various axial lead type built-in electronic components in an insulating housing without greatly changing the shape of an electric connector conforming to prescribed standards. SOLUTION: The inside housing 10 of a plug type electric connector 100 is composed of a main body part 10b, a lid part 10a, and a separate spacer 15a. One lead of an axial lead type electronic component is guided to the U-shaped base part of a signal contact. The other lead is guided to the U-shaped terminal plate 18 in the groove 17 of the spacer 15. The main body part of the axial lead type electronic component is housed in a recessed part 13a for housing components which is partitioned by the rear end of the base part 21b of a signal contact 21 and the front end of the spacer 15.
