PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter apparatus capable of enhancing the filtration concentration performance and the SS collection ratio. SOLUTION: This filter apparatus comprises cylindrical or conical inner filter medium 1 and outer filter medium 2 disposed concentrically to each other and a spiral partition 3 installed in a filtration space 4 between the inner filter medium 1 and the outer filter medium 2. The spiral partition 3 is not rotated but only the inner filter medium 1 and/or the outer filter medium 2 is rotated around its axis. In this operation step, a treated liquid is fed into the filtration space 4 from a plurality of liquid filling ports formed on its one end, filtrated by passing it through the inner filter medium 1, and filtrate by passing it through the outer filter medium 2.
