It is intended to provide an X-ray photography apparatus whereby lungs can be photographed in the desirable inherent size thereof. An X-ray photography apparatus which has: an X-ray generation part from which X-ray is radiated; an imaging part whereby the X-ray having passed through a subject is detected; a memory part whereby the maximum inspiration data of the subject is memorized; a respiration rate measurement part whereby the respiration rate of the subject is measured; and a controlling part whereby data processing is conducted based on the maximum inspiration data of the subject memorized in the memory part and the respiration rate of the subject measured by the respiration rate measurement part.
