MRAM AND ITS OPERATION METHOD

An MRAM is formed by a plurality of symbols. Each of the symbols is formed by a plurality of bits. The MRAM uses an error correction code capable of error correction in a symbol unit for error detection and error correction. The MRAM includes: a first data cell for storing some bits of a data symbol among the symbols; and a peripheral circuit for reproducing the data symbol by adding a predetermined dummy bit to the some bits and performing error detection and error correction by using the reproduced data symbol.
