PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a cost by improving the yield ratio showing the ratio of the weight of a ring shape member to the weight of material and the yield ratio showing the ratio of the ring shape member to a blank ring. SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing a ring shape member, a partially fabricated product 18 having large radius of curvature portions 3D formed by bending curved line portions 3d so as to have the radius of curvature larger than the original radius of curvature, and swelled portions 3E formed by bending straight line portions 3b, 3c so as to have the radius of curvature larger than that of the curved line portions 3d is formed.
