PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrule capable of enhancing adhesion with an optical fiber cable and also to provide a fixing structure of the optical fiber cable and the ferrule. SOLUTION: The ferrule 11 made of a synthetic resin is installed in the end of an optical fiber cable 2 and housed in the ferrule storing part of a ferrule housing. The ferrule 11 has an annular large diameter part 4 which is formed in accordance with the diameter of the ferrule storing part, and has a fusing part 3 which has a smaller diameter than the annular large diameter part 4 and where laser fusing is performed with the optical fiber cable 2. On the outer peripheral face 13 of the annular large diameter part 4, there is formed a second fusing part 12 that becomes an annular groove. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
