The invention relates to operation of pipeline transportation in mining and is intended for mine water pumping from large depths. A method for control of hydro-blow includes air supply to pipeline before stop of pump unit. Preliminarily one sets value of volumetric gas content in intermediate cross-section of supercharge pipeline, this minimizes average sound speed in discharge pipe, one feeds compressed air to discharge pipe, controls value of volumetric gas content in process of supply of compressed air and compares to prescribed value, and at achieving that value stop is provided. Pump unit consists of multi-stage pump with suction and supercharge pipelines, accumulator, compressor and discharge tank. The discharge pipe is connected to bottom and upper section of accumulator with respective branch pipes just after pump, and the discharge pipe has controlled valve installed between those branch pipes, at that all connected to accumulator branch pipes have controlled valves. Effective suppression of speed of blast wave is achieved, just before stop of the unit.
