摘要 The invention relates to a fuel cell system having a plurality of individual fuel cells connected in series electrically, each having a cathode-electrolyte-anode unit arranged between an electrically conducting carrier element and an electrically conducting cover element, the side facing the carrier element being acted upon by a first gas and the side facing the cover element being acted upon by a second gas, whereby the individual cells are arranged essentially side by side so that their cathode-electrolyte-anode units that are spaced a distance apart essentially describe a common surface and whereby for two neighboring individual cells, the carrier element of the second individual cell is not only electrically connected to the cover element of the first individual cell but also forms a one-piece component. Various embodiments are described, whereby this fuel cell system preferably has a heat transfer connection to the exhaust system and/or the exhaust gases of an internal combustion engine that drives a motor vehicle.
