A method and apparatus for managing a portfolio of assets

A method of managing a portfolio of assets in order to take action in respect of the portfolio which comply with one or more requirement determined by a user, the method comprising the steps of:
-defining one or more requirements which align with the needs of the user;
-defining a number of criteria associated with the requirements wherein each criterion is associated with one of a plurality of indicators which are indicative of the relative importance of that criterion in respect of the requirement;
-identifying the assets in the portfolio and determining for each the criteria which are relevant to that asset and the relevant indicators for that asset in respect of each criterion;
-ordering the assets in accordance with the indicators in respect of at least two of the criteria such that the assets with common indicators in respect of both criteria are grouped together into portfolio sections thereby identifying the degree to which the assets which are aligned with the requirements;
-determining what actions are required to change in respect of the portfolio sections to meet the requirements.
