PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a system for examining tissue. SOLUTION: An imaging system, in particular, an ultrasonic imaging system is provided. There are many faults associated to various current imaging systems especially for medical systems. For example, when many imaging techniques such as X-ray imaging, mammography and computed tomography (CT) scanning are used for medical procedures, ionizing radiation possessing the risk of cell mutation is used. Therefore, the faults of a conventional art is solved and provide a method and a system for examining tissue. A method and system (includes 104, 108 and 112) for examining tissue are provided in which the tissue is maintained in a position so that it may be insonified with a plurality of pulsed spherical or scattered acoustic radiation including reflected and transmitted acoustic waves (at block 208).
