PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric lamp assembly with small power loss of core by selecting buffering gas pressure and discharge current with good light emission efficiency. SOLUTION: The gas pressure in a lamp container is 0.67 mbar (0.5 torr) or less, and the discharge current is 2A or larger. The power loss of the core is related to a core of transformer. Total power is supplied from a radio frequency power source. The power loss of the core is not more than 15% of the total power supplied from the radio frequency power source.
