<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer 1 capable of restraining the occurrence of color shift due to the speed variation of a belt caused by the eccentricity of a driving roller or the eccentricity of a gear for driving the driving roller even when the outer circumferential surface of the belt is curved along each of the circumferential surfaces of a plurality of photoreceptor drums in a transfer section. <P>SOLUTION: The distance of the upstream end in a belt moving direction in each of the adjacent transfer sections TB and TY along the outer circumferential surface of the belt 56 is set to the multiple of a natural number of a distance that the belt is moved when the driving roller rotates by one revolution.
