PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magneto-resistance effect type magnetic head and a composite type magnetic head in which bad influence caused by fining sensor size, that is, deterioration of asymmetry of a reproduced signal of the sensor, and increment of random telegraph noise are improved. SOLUTION: A GMR head 10 has a laminated structure of a spin valve film 8, a base layer 4 arranged at both sides of the spin valve film 8, a magnetic section control layer 5, and an electrode layer 6 between a lower part magnetic shield layer and an upper part magnetic shield layer. The spin valve film 8 has a fixed layer 19 in which four layers of ferromagnetic layers 12, 141, 142, 143 are laminated on the upper part of an anti-ferromagnetic layer 11, and through anti-ferromagnetic coupling layers 131, 132, 133 between respective layer. A non-magnetic layer 15, a free layer 16, and a cap layer 17 are arranged at the upper part of the fixed layer 19. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
