PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas separator which can be reduced in size and weight and can be used even with no power supply on occasion. SOLUTION: At least a part of a bulkhead for partitioning the exterior and interior of a gastight container is constituted to include a gas separation membrane, and the movable bulkhead is arranged to be moved back and forth through action of external force, so as to alternately increase and reduce the inner volume between one of the gastight container and the other gastight container. The gas separation membrane possessed by each gastight chamber has the function to separate/introduce the gas g1 included in the gas G from the gas G into the gastight container due to boosting by the reduction of the internal volume. The separated/introduced gas g1 is boosted due to the volume reudction by accompanying the internal volume increase of the other gastight chamber and is eventually exhausted via check valves. The gas g1 separated/introduced into each gastight chamber is alternately exhausted from each of the check valves by the forward and backward movements of the movable bulkhead.
