PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator for dynamo-electric machine, which can sharply reduce the width of the opening of the small tooth part of the stator and can contract the redundancy, too, by fixing the small tooth part of the stator with the stator cover of a nonmagnetic substance combining retention of its bore position and insulation performance. SOLUTION: This stator is equipped with small teeth 12 which are arranged at specified intervals in its circumferential direction, a pair of stator covers 13 of nonmagnetic substances which have annular parts 13b and storages 13a that are extended radially from the annular parts 13b and store and hold each small tooth 12 from both its sides, stator coils which are arranged in the slots 15 being made between the above small teeth 12 built in the storages 13a of the stator cover 13, and an annular yoke 14 which is arranged on the peripheral side of the storages 13a of the above stator cover 13.
