<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To judge the direction of camera shake with high precision without using special hardware such as an acceleration sensor. <P>SOLUTION: A parameter acquiring section 32 acquires weighting coefficients λ<SB>d1</SB>, λ<SB>d2</SB>, λ<SB>d3</SB>, ..., λ<SB>dJ</SB>for main components indicative of the camera shake direction in the face part P1f of a picture P1 detected at a face detecting section 31 by adapting the face part P1f to a mathematical model M created by the technique of AAM based on a plurality of pictures expressing the face part of a person under different camera shake conditions, and a camera shake direction judging section 33 judges the camera shake direction D based on the weighting coefficients λ<SB>d1</SB>, λ<SB>d2</SB>, λ<SB>d3</SB>, ..., λ<SB>dJ</SB>. Furthermore, a camera shake width acquiring section 35 determines the camera shake width W based on an edge component E perpendicular to the camera shake direction D detected at an edge detecting section 34, and a camera shake correcting section 36 may correct the camera shake of an input image P1 based on the camera shake direction D and the camera shake width W. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
