PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a taping device which stabilizes the position of each chip component loaded in a storage recess formed in a component storage tape, and avoids jamming or breakage of the chip components in a tape carrying passage. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the taping device, air in a storage groove 4B moving to a lower side of a seam 104 between upper lids 102, 103 is sucked via apertures 4D formed in a tape main body 4A, and grooves 107, apertures 108, and a communication passage 106 formed in a seam passage forming member 105. Therefore the chip components A in the storage groove 4B are sucked into the apertures 4D, and even if the chip components A are inclined due to oscillation of the tape main body 4A before arrival at the lower side of the seam 104, the chip components A are attracted to a bottom of the storage groove 4B, and therefore they are horizontally stored in the storage groove 4B.
