PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present a protein on a surface layer of the cell of a bacterium of the genus Corynebacterium capable of performing amino acid fermentation for improved utility. SOLUTION: A bacterium of the genus Corynebacterium having amino acid fermentation capability and modified to present a protein in the surface layer of the cell. When a glycolytic enzyme is used as the protein, the bacterium can be cultured by using a biomass as a carbon source to efficiently produce an amino acid. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
