PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension substrate with a circuit, that can prevent the trouble that the conductor pattern is exposed and short-circuits even if it moves by the air turbulence and rubs the carriage arm. SOLUTION: The suspension substrate 1 with a circuit has a metal support layer 2, a base insulation layer 3, a conductor pattern 4, and a cover insulation layer 9, which are sequentially stacked. At the area c of the suspension substrate 1 to insert into the slit of the carriage arm, the thickness T<SB>3</SB>measured from the surface where the base insulation layer 3 of the metal support layer 2 is formed to the surface where the cover insulation layer 9 of the conductor pattern 4 is formed in the conductor pattern forming area X is made smaller than the thickness T<SB>2</SB>measured from the surface where the base layer 3 of the metal support layer 2 is formed to the surface opposite to the surface where the base insulation layer 3 of the cover insulation layer 9 is formed in the conductor pattern non-forming area Y, that is T<SB>3</SB><T<SB>2</SB>.
