PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive improving its reliability by instructing the driver to quickly stop the operation when the power supply is not normal to the servo controller which is generating servo signals. SOLUTION: This optical disk drive 1 changes the level of the mute signals that the drive limiter 9 inputs to the driver 8 to L when it is in either one of the following states: the output voltage of a first power source 11 is a first voltage or lower, the output voltage of a second power source 12 is the second voltage B or lower, and the main controller 2 outputs a first mute signals. Thus, the driver 8 stops the PU3 main part and its drive of an objective lens. Since the driver 8 can quickly stop the PU3 main part and its drive of the objective lens when the servo controller 7 does not operate properly, it can improve the reliability of its device main part.
