PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent toner dispersion due to shock or electrostatic external force while improving fixability. SOLUTION: The fixing device has no prenip constitution. In the fixing device 1, a medium P is pressed and heated by a nip part 201 between a pressure roller 5 and a fixing roller 9 to fix a toner image. A preheater 301 is arranged on a carrier route of the medium P on the upstream side of the nip part 201. The preheater 301 heats the medium P before pressing and heating the medium P by the nip part 201 to prefix the toner image. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
