PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prepolymerized catalyst component, which is reduced in the aggregation of itself and also is reduced in the sticking onto the wall face of a drier, and to provide a production method for an olefin polymer using the prepolymerized catalyst. SOLUTION: The prepolymerized catalyst component for olefin polymerization, is obtained by prepolymerizing an olefin in the presence of a solid catalyst component, wherein the prepolymer has≥160 J/g crystal melting calorie and a prepolymer component obtained by the first stage polymerization of the prepolymerization has≥1.5 dL/g limiting viscosity.
