<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hardly-curled cyclic-polyolefin film which is superior in hygroscopicity and moisture permeability, which is less likely to change optical characteristics die with respect to changes in the temperature and humidity and which is superior in adhesion to polarizing film, a manufacturing method for the cyclic polyolefin film, an optical compensating film using the cyclic polyolefin film, a polarizing-plate protective film, and a polarizing plate without unevenness of image, or a liquid-crystal display unit. <P>SOLUTION: This cyclic polyolefin film is characterized in that a layer containing a water soluble resin is provided on a cyclic polyolefin resin layer, after saponification of the cyclic polyolefin resin layer formed by containing a cyclic polyolefin resin, having a side chain with an ester group and acquired by polymerizing a polymerization component containing at least a cyclic olefin monomer with the ester group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
