The present invention is related to an apparatus, comprising a first body with a ruled surface being a helicoid, and a second body with a ruled surface being a hyperboloid, characterized in that the hyperboloid is arranged to roll over the helicoid essentially without longitudinal nor lateral slip. The invention is related in particular to apparatuses of this kind, arranged for transforming a linear into a rotational movement or vice versa.
