摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a material for forming a structural material for a liquid crystal display, with which images (for example, for structures such as spacers and ribs) with excellent profiles are formed, and a substrate for a liquid crystal display device, with which a high-quality image is displayed by suppressing deformation of the profile, a liquid crystal display element, and a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The method for forming the structural material for the liquid crystal display contains an exposure process in which a two-dimensional image is formed by relatively scanning a photosensitive resin layer while modulating light based on an image data and exposing the photosensitive resin layer, wherein the transmission optical density (OD) of the photosensitive resin layer with a single exposure wavelength of 405 nm±40 nm in the exposure process is set to be 0.1-1.5.
