<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide plate employable for achieving a reduction in thickness of a backlight device and an increase in size of a light emitting surface of the backlight device. <P>SOLUTION: The light guide plate 2 has a surface 14a that comprises: a reflecting region M1 for allowing external light incident from a surface opposite to a surface 11a to be bent in a direction from the surface 14a toward a surface 11c by means of a single reflection, and thereby allowing the light to be incident on a light guide section 11; and a transmission region M2 for allowing external light to pass therethrough in a direction toward the light emitting surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
