The regulator has a temperature sensor (1) arranged in an exhaust gas pipe for measuring temperature of exhaust gas, and an electronic regulating unit for evaluating the temperature. The regulating unit controls a solenoid (5) or an actuator such that air supply to a combustion chamber of a boiler is regulated to reach a constant adjustable temperature of the gas, where the regulating unit switches on and/or off an exhaust ventilator.
