<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control system which can simplify the configuration of an in-vehicle instrument by using an antenna used for communication between the in-vehicle instrument and a portable instrument as an antenna used for communication between the in-vehicle instrument and detectors attached to tires of a vehicle for transmitting air pressure monitoring information. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle control system comprises detectors attached to the respective tires of the vehicle, and the in-vehicle instrument which detects the air pressure monitoring information of the respective tires of the vehicle based on signals transmitted from the detectors, and locks and unlocks doors of the vehicle when an identification code transmitted from the portable instrument in response to a first requirement signal transmitted from a transmitting antenna coincides with a required code. In addition, the in-vehicle instrument transmits a second requirement signal different from the first requirement signal using a transmitting antenna after the permission of the start of an engine, and the respective detectors receive the second requirement signal and transmit the air pressure monitoring information of the corresponding tires of the vehicle in response to the received second requirement signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
