PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve reception equipment for enabling a user to recognize an appropriate solution easily even if an error occurs when transmitting data.

SOLUTION: The reception equipment 2 uses radio communication for receiving a connect packet (9,600 bps) for establishing communication connection, and a data packet that contains transmission data and has a communication speed (for example, 4 Mbps) that is faster than the connect one. The reception equipment 2 comprises an error situation determination section 22 for determining that the reception of the connect packet has failed when a reception situation meets a first prescribed reception failure pattern; and an error cause output 27 for outputting cause information for indicating the causes of reception failure to a user interface 3 when the reception of the connect packet fails.
