PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foreign matter falling preventive device of a passenger conveyor for preventing intrusion of foreign matter inside the passenger conveyor by blocking up its clearance by a clearance blocking-up body even when a distance is changed between a tread and a skirt guard when restoring force of a brush reduces by long-term use in the foreign matter falling preventive device of the passenger conveyor of this invention. SOLUTION: This foreign matter falling preventive device of the passenger conveyor has a frame 4 arranged in both end parts of a tread body 1B, a clearance blocking-up body installing piece 6 inserted inside its frame 4, a plate spring 5 arranged between a bottom surface of the framer 4 and the clearance blocking-up body installing piece 6, and the brush 7 connected to the tip of the clearance blocking-up body installing piece 6 to contact with the skirt guard.
