PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game ball counting and dispensing mechanism capable of preventing game balls from being dispensed excessively in a simple constitution, dispensing game balls by a unit of a single ball, and capable of dispensing an optional number of game balls even in a fraction. SOLUTION: Protrusions 7a to 7h for engaging of the same number corresponding to a plurality of tooth roots 3a to 3h are formed in one side of a sprocket wheel 3, a turning lever 8 coupled to an operation shaft 11 of a solenoid 10 arranged in the vicinity of the sprocket wheel is swingably arranged with a supporting shaft 13, a first engaging piece 17 and a second engaging piece 18 are arranged in two positions spaced apart in one side face of the turning lever, the first and second engaging pieces are alternatively engaged with the protrusions for engaging of the sprocket wheel every time when the turning lever is swung one time by one reciprocating movement of the operation shaft of the solenoid, and the game balls are dispensed to the lower side of a ball path one by one by the sprocket wheel intermittently rotating while engagement is disengaged.
