PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-position locating system which can specify the position of own vehicle, in areas that do not have road data. SOLUTION: The self-position locating system comprises an observed value creation means 2, which acquires positioning information periodically and creates observed value of the position of own vehicle, a deduced speed calculation means 3 which inputs the observed value of the position of own vehicle and calculates the moving speed deduced value per unit time through the difference between the predicted value of the position of own vehicle deduced at previous time and the observed value, an RPM detection means 4 for detecting the axle RPM of own vehicle; a measured speed calculation means 5 which calculates the moving speed measured value, on the basis of the axle RPM detected by the RPM detection means at each timing of the creation of the observed value; and a means for deducing the position of own vehicle 6 which calculates the amount of drift, which is the difference between the moving speed deduced value and the moving speed actual measured value, and deduces the predicted value of the position of own vehicle at this time, by correcting the observed value of the position of own vehicle according to the magnitude of the amount of drift.
