PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply obtain a carbon dioxide fixing catalyst enhanced in the decomposition efficiency of carbon dioxide at a low cost. SOLUTION: The carbon dioxide fixing catalyst is obtained by providing oxygen defect type magnetite on the surfaces of inorganic porous particles and characterized by preferably providing oxygen defect type magnetite on the surfaces of inorganic porous particles.
