PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-resistant grease composition that inhibits generation of white texture flaking and corrosion even when contaminated with moisture and maintains good lubrication for long hours, and a roller bearing for steel rolling mills that comprises the water-resistant grease composition sealed therein and exhibits excellent water resistance. SOLUTION: The water-resistant grease composition comprises a base oil that is comprised of at least one lubricating oil selected from among mineral oils and synthetic oils and has kinetic viscosity of 70-250 mm<SP>2</SP>/s at 40°C, a calcium sulfonate complex as a thickening agent, and, further incorporated therewith, at least one rust-proofing agent selected from among carboxylic acid-based rust-proofing additives, carboxylate salt-based rust-proofing additives and ester-based rust-proofing additives in an amount of 0.1-20 mass% based on the whole amount of the grease.
